Sixth grade music students are working on Percussion Ensembles.  They are learning to read music notation symbols and perform from written music! So far we have learned to read Whole notes, Half notes, Quarter notes, and Eighth notes.

The students have also composed as song as a class!  We have even played the song with percussion instruments!  They are doing a GREAT job!

We will be working on reading Sixteenth notes and learning new ensemble music in the following weeks!

Seventh grade students are creating their own products! 

They have been working on creating a product that currently does not exist.  After creating a product they must name it, create a slogan, jingle, and poster, and complete a script for their ad campaign.  Once students have completed all components of the project, we will record their commercials.  They have "invented" many creative products!  Hearing the slogans, jingles, and scripts is both amusing and impressive!
